5 Application notes

WEM3046TE is a variant of WEM3046T, designed specifically for double-CT installation scenarios.

Unlike WEM3046T, which accepts direct 5A CT input from third-party CTs, WEM3046TE comes with three external 5A split-core CTs. These CTs can be clamped onto the cable of the existing primary CT in the distribution board.

WEM3046TE is suitable for scenarios such as:

  1. Retrofit projects where the existing utility meter and CT wiring cannot be modified
  2. Sites where the primary CT is already installed and cannot be shared directly
  3. Installations requiring non-intrusive monitoring on existing 5A CT circuits

10 Indicator

Indicator Description
RUN Always on after powering on, flashing while the Wi-Fi module is communicating with the power meter
REV Always on when:
1. The current is reversed as per the bottom-marked current direction of CT for any phase, or
2. The CT is connected to the wrong phase
WIFI Always on after the Wi-Fi module is connected to the router
