IAMMETER App Store Officially Launched
IAMMETER App Store Officially Launched
Are you using IAMMETER products or systems and wishing you could customize something further?
For example:
- Faster real-time current refresh?
- Instant alarm notifications for specific thresholds?
- A monitoring dashboard branded with your company name and logo?
- A simplified interface tailored for your team or customers?
If you have these kinds of requirements, the newly launched IAMMETER App Store is designed to help.
You can share your ideas and let developers bring them to life inside the App Store — or build your own application directly. With the help of modern AI tools, creating your own IAMMETER-related app is now easier than ever.
Let’s start building together.

The IAMMETER App Store is a centralized platform designed to showcase applications built around IAMMETER energy meters. It aims to encourage innovation within the IAMMETER ecosystem and provide users with a broader range of tools for monitoring, analysis, and energy optimization.
Three Application Models Supported
The IAMMETER App Store currently supports three types of applications:
1. Static Applications
Static applications are pure frontend solutions developed using IAMMETER’s local API:

IAMMETER meters support CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) by default on their local API. This makes it possible to build pure frontend applications (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) that directly communicate with the meter — without any backend service.
As long as the device running the application (for example, a web browser) is in the same local network (LAN) as the IAMMETER meter, the application can call the meter’s HTTP API directly.
Static apps:
- Require no backend server
- Can be hosted on GitHub Pages or run locally
- Are ideal for dashboards, visualization tools, and lightweight monitoring systems
This architecture significantly lowers the development barrier and enables rapid prototyping.
2. Hosted Applications
Hosted applications include backend services and support more advanced logic and integrations. These applications are suitable for:
- Data processing and analytics
- Automation workflows
- Integration with third-party systems
Hosted apps are appropriate when more complex computation or secure cloud interaction is required.
3. SaaS Applications
SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) applications are cloud-based solutions designed for scalable deployment and advanced service delivery. These are ideal for:
- Long-term optimization services
- Cloud analytics platforms
- Commercial or enterprise-level solutions
Developer Participation and Community Contribution
IAMMETER welcomes developers to contribute their own applications to the App Store. Whether open-source or proprietary, applications that add value to IAMMETER users are encouraged.
Developers may leverage modern AI-assisted coding tools, including GPT-based systems, to accelerate development and prototyping.
To recognize high-quality contributions, IAMMETER will award Reward Points to outstanding applications as a token of appreciation.
Community Feedback and App Ideas
In addition to developer submissions, IAMMETER invites users to propose new application ideas. Suggested use cases and feature requests may inspire future development efforts and provide direction for interested contributors.
Our Long-Term Vision: Custom Apps for Every IAMMETER User
Our ultimate goal is straightforward:
Every IAMMETER user — whether a professional developer or not — should be able to freely create and customize the IAMMETER applications they need.
In fact, the very first Static application listed in the IAMMETER App Store:
was contributed by a non-developer IAMMETER user.
This demonstrates both the accessibility of IAMMETER’s local API and the power of modern AI-assisted development tools.
Moving forward, we will continue to:
- Expand our documentation and development guides
- Provide clearer step-by-step resources
- Develop practical AI-assisted workflows
- Help non-technical users build IAMMETER applications simply by describing what they need
Our mission is to lower the technical barrier so that creating an IAMMETER app becomes as simple as expressing your idea.
The IAMMETER App Store represents an important step in expanding the IAMMETER ecosystem. We look forward to continued innovation and collaboration within the community.
